This book seeks to identify key internet technologies and explore how to apply biblical principles to deal with the associated issues. Clark provides a very practical in that he examines the emerging technologies and how they impact our everyday lives. In the first two chapters, Clark lays a basic groundwork for his further discussion. Later chapters discuss such areas as email, texting, social networking, and tweeting. He then tackles such issues as online pornography, gambling, identity theft, internet gaming. Clark closes by looking at five principles to learn from technology.
Many of the chapters end with questions for further discussion for use in a small group setting. Clark is to be commended for providing numerous Scripture references to highlight his discussions. .
This book was a very quick read and did not provide any new insight or application to someone who has work with computers and technology for the past several years. Someone who has very little exposure to the internet and what it has to offer might find some nuggets of useful information. I would find it very difficult to recommend this work to anyone other than a novice.
